JoVonne Wagner has been the Helena reporter for MTFP Local since 2023, where she covers elections, politics and community affairs. She also writes the Helena This Week newsletter. She originally came to Montana Free Press as a Legislative Fellow covering the American Indian Caucus. She is a graduate of the University of Montana School of Journalism, and previously interned at Buffalo’s Fire and ICT, formerly known as Indian Country Today.
